Dr. Vivian Khedari DePierro is a licensed psychologist in the State of New York with a special interest in facilitating coping and recovery for individuals and communities affected by chronic stress and psychological trauma.

A clinical psychologist by training, she received her Ph.D. from The New School for Social Research in New York after completing her pre-doctoral Clinical Psychology Internship at Montefiore Medical Center (2020). For this work, Dr. Khedari received an award from the American Psychological Association’s Committee for International Relations in Psychology.

Dr. Khedari DePierro's current projects include collaborations with Glasswing International, Beyond Conflict, and the United States Institute of Peace. She is also part of the United Nations Development Programme's roster of pre-vetted expert consultants for Mental Health & Psychosocial Support and for Countering and Preventing Violent Extremism.

Dr. Khedari also enjoys lecturing and training psychology and psychiatry students. She frequently lectures Montefiore Hospital psychiatry residents on topics related to trauma, and is an Assistant Clinical Professor for Mount Sinai Hospital's Psychiatry Department.
